Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona’s “other” Cathedral (not Sagrada Familia) is plenty
dramatic in its own right. With a 14th century vintage and an awe-inspiring
Gothic facade, it towers over the Gothic Quarter. Plus, it can make one
boast Sagrada Familia can’t – it’s finished!

An elevator ride to the roof provides a good view of the Barrio Gotic. Venture inside
the cloister and enter a tranquility that’s almost eerie. The city is shut out and all you can
hear is the soft gurgle of fountains. A flock of (well behaved) geese waddle and paddle
around, lending the space some unexpected humor.
